This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) explains how CTDG Dev Hub (operated by Cointelegraph Decentralization Guardians, “CTDG”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use https://devhub.cointelegraph.com (the “Site”) and related services (including proposal submissions, comments, contributor verification, and community features).

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.


What information do we collect?

We collect information from you when you register on the Site and when you participate in the forum/portal by reading, writing, and evaluating content.

  • Account & contact details: name (or handle), e-mail address (verified via a unique link).

  • Contributor verification data (if applicable): role (developer/validator/network representative), organization, network affiliation, and any documents you provide to confirm status.

  • Technical data: IP address of each request and of posts you create, device and browser data, general location (derived from IP), log data, cookies and similar technologies.

  • Usage data: pages viewed, proposal threads visited, actions taken (likes, flags, replies), notification preferences.

  • Content you submit: proposals, comments, attachments, votes, feedback, messages to admins/moderators.

You may browse some areas without registering, but certain features require an account.


What do we use your information for?

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate and improve the Site and its features (proposals, comments, moderation, search, notifications).

  • Personalize your experience and remember preferences.

  • Provide support and respond to inquiries or moderation requests.

  • Notify you about proposal updates, replies, mentions, governance stages, or changes you opt into.

  • Maintain safety & compliance, including fraud/abuse prevention, legal compliance, and enforcement of our Terms and Community Guidelines.

  • Analytics (aggregate, non-personal) to understand usage and improve the Dev Hub.

If we send optional announcements or partner updates, we will do so only where permitted by law and/or with your consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time.


How do we protect your information?
